ESPRIT Scholarships

ESPRIT – Experiencing Science Practices through Research to Inspire Teaching – is designed to recruit, prepare, and support UO science majors for K-12 science teaching careers in high need school districts.

SAIL

SAIL (Summer Academy to Inspire Learning) offers free annual summer camps to high school students who qualify and aims to increase student enrollment and success in college through academic mentoring with UO students and community members.

Scholarships for Oregon Scientists (SOS II)

The SOS II (Scholarships for Oregon Students) program through the Materials Science Institute offers scholarships and support services for incoming freshman and transfer students entering the fields of physics, chemistry, or biochemistry.

SPICE

SPICE (Science Program to Inspire Creativity and Excellence) is a collaborative effort to increase exposure to STEM fields to middle- and high-school girls.

UO WOMEN IN COMPUTER SCIENCE

WICS is a UO student group that recruits and provides support to women in computer science to increase success and increase the number of women in computer science fields as a whole.
