Dr. Martin Storksdieck and Julie Risien from the Center for Research on Lifelong STEM Learning at Oregon State University presented “University STEM Centers:  What and Why?” November 3, 2016.

 

Dr. Kemi Jona of Northwestern University (STEM CORE guest speaker– Part 1)

Universities have an important role in supporting high quality science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education and outreach. In this talk Dr. Jona discusses the rationale for an institutional strategy and the benefits that accrue to it. A range of strategies useful in creating effective partnerships to support faculty and K-12 students and teachers are illustrated with specific examples of programs offered by Northwestern University.
